Many of my students have sensory issues. Creating a softer environment for their over active senses allows them to focus on the lessons and activities. Students are more productive when they have the option of comfort for when they sit. Some need to build core strength to improve their motor skills for using school tools (scissors, crayons, pencils etc). We need four wobble chairs and tranquil blue light filters for a sensory friendly environment. Flexible seating options will support the individual needs of students, whether that is sitting on the floor, ball chair, wobble chair or a traditional chair. Children just don't all fit in the same mold and they need different options for sitting. This will get us started on the path to having those seating options, so students can focus on learning.
