"How was school?"..."fine."....."What'd you learn?"....."Nothing?" This is what parents hear from their kiddos on the daily. I would love to bridge this gap by incorporating technology in the classroom that will allow parents to log in to view exactly what their kids are learning daily. We need five tablets to involve their parents in their learning! I think this will bring so much more excitement and pride in a student's work, and will be able to involve parents, who otherwise would have no involvement, into the classroom. Students will use tablets and specific apps that will allow parents to log in to their student's page and see pictures and videos of their child's work! Parents will be able to view only their student's posted video or picture of the projects and assignments they are completing, and communicate with the student on their personal page. Rather than wondering how to help their student with material brought home from school, they can log on to their student's page and watch their student complete an example of the work brought home, enhancing the retention and learning of both student and parent. By involving the whole family into a child's education, the potential for success is endless.
