About my class

These supplies will help make a difference in my students' learning by bringing the real world into the classroom. Students will be able to create and learn about science and social studies with these materials. We also don't have a science or social studies curriculum, so these supplies will help to facilitate the programs that we do have and support the students through hands-on learning. These books and supplies will be in small groups and whole group settings. It will be essential to the students' learning. We will use the write on maps to explore world geography in small groups, and I will use them in large groups or whole class. I could also see them being used during our US History Museum project, which happens every year. I will use the chart paper to create anchor charts for our units of study, and students can refer back to them when needed. The simple machines books will be used during our simple machines guided reading groups and projects where students read about one simple machine and create a new invention using their simple machine! The science folder games will be used during our science orations, where students can explore with their folder games and be able to apply what they have learned, in order to play the game. The American Revolution Comprehension Cards will be used during our American Revolution Unit of Study, I will use the cards during a whole group setting to solidify what we have learned by students manipulating the cards and creating comprehension questions from them. These will also be used in my ESL small group as anchors for their learning, Students will be excited to get new materials to use in the classroom!
