By having the cushions in my classroom, my students will be able to identify sensory issues and allow them a safe place to sit on the floor. The cubby will be used for storage in the classroom for the students to put their items when they come into the room. The reading couch will help my students have a quiet place to sit and read independently. Having a special reading nook will encourage my students to want to pick up a book and read. My goal is to foster a love of reading in the classroom that will transfer into their home life. By sharing a passion for reading, my students will develop needed comprehension skills that will in turn grow their brains!
