My Middle School is a 40 year old neighborhood school surrounded by numerous mature trees with approximately 1150 students, growing each year. It is a high-need school with around 80% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch. It has taken on the task of becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, emphasizing the importance of promoting diversity, languages, and knowledgeable world citizens. For two years, I have been a French floating teacher at Ranson Middle. I currently instruct six French classes from 6th – 8th and have in total around 180 students per semester.
