Many of my students have only every had the chance to sing. In our classroom we only have rhythm sticks and shaker eggs. There are other instruments that are easily 30 years old and most are damaged our broken. I would love bring the magic of World Music Drumming to my kids. We have many children from other countries coming to our school. It would be amazing to bring the traditional music of their country into our classroom. I also believe that many of my students who are on IEPs for attention issues or trouble focusing would really benefit from drumming. I want every student in my room to find their "voice" through many different experiences.
