The materials in this project will help my students keep their classroom organized and maintain a free-choice environment. This will be my first year as a classroom teacher and I would like to create many options for my students! Third graders enjoy being more independent with their class work. They need several choices within the classroom to facilitate independent thinking. The bookshelves would help organize our new classroom library. Students would be able to choose books on their reading level or simply what interests them. The cart would hold educational games, task cards, and other materials for group or individual activities. The stacking stools would give my students another seating option other than their regular school chairs. These stools would be great for our small group area where I plan to hold book club meetings!
