My project would meet a variety of needs for my students. Access to an iPad would allow them to see their growth over the course of two years as writers, as we could use google docs to track their progress toward goals and view them during writing conferences. As students meet one-on-one with me and I confer with them about their writing, an iPad would allow us to chart, track, document and view their progress and writing pieces efficiently and effectively. My students find their voices in writing workshop. An iPad would allow me to help guide them outside of workshop time by providing them with more frequent and immediate constructive feedback in google docs on their writing pieces. Streamlining feedback on writing pieces for 40 students is essential to reaching each child's individual needs, and access to their work through an iPad would help me reach more of my students after school hours.
