My students spend each day in a classroom becoming the leaders of our future. They have created Ted talks about "ideas worth spreading", learned about computer coding, and have engaged in a variety of science lessons that have allowed them to problem solve real world problems like how to fuel a car without gas or how to design a roller coaster. My classroom is the environment where all of this learning is taking place and should reflect the creative learners that are in it. Providing students with flexible seating allows them to take ownership of their learning environment. When students can choose a comfortable place where they feel they work best, they become more engaged in their learning.
