Our First Grade Classroom is filled with 27-30 energetic, eager to learn 6 and 7 year old boys and girls. Most of our students come from a poverty stricken home. They have little outside experiences, limited literacy in the home and little experiences around our city. There is a wide range of skills and many students have low skills. During the year, we are immersed in literacy and create a classroom conducive to wonderful learning experiences. We create a fun risk free environment where our children can feel safe, successful and thrieve.

About my class
