Many children enter the public school system at a disadvantage with technology. Desktop computers replaced word-processors and desktops are replaced by tablets. Now many districts use SMARTboards. I would like my preschoolers to experience hand-held tablets while in the comfort and support of the preschool setting. It is my belief that this level of comfort will assist them in bridging technology gaps, by giving them the confidence to succeed. Our students will cooperatively navigate the tablet, to use learning software, and gain confidence with the devices. Exposing them at such an early age, will make them aware that technology can be a tool for gaining skills and information.
