My school district is going through a budget crisis and our classroom funds have been cut drastically. My students are being robbed of opportunities to move forward and learn through best practices due to a lack of imaginative materials. Kindergarten students learn best through play, collaboration, and inquiry-based projects. I would really like my students to have opportunities to learn through the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) model. Students will use the requested technology to increase their independence and their 21st-century learning skills. Students will navigate digital tools to work independently and collaboratively and learn at their own pace. I want to make screen time more meaningful for students and allow them to become active learners instead of passive observers. I want to provide them with the tools to be successful in the modern world.
