I have one class set of the same chapter book. Each year I do a guided book study of this particular book, and my students absolutely love it. I have watched each and every student become totally invested in the story, and I love seeing them develop a sense of accomplishment at the end. Chapter books are kind of a big deal in third grade! But many students lack the confidence to tackle them on their own. I want that feeling to change. I want to be able to do more guided reading of chapter books with my students. I've researched some quality, age-appropriate texts and I have my heart set on a few prime selections. However, purchasing class sets of chapter books can be very expensive, and I lack the funds to purchase class sets on my own. Please consider putting chapter books in my students' hands! With your help, I can help them become well-rounded, confident young readers.
