Every student is sitting at their desk for at least 5 hours a day. The alternative seating that I have requested will have a huge impact on my students. They are not only learning English but Spanish as well. School can be tough with the lack of motivation that our students might feel. As a teacher, I try to provide a variety of support and strategies to make every student succeed. Kids have lots of energy that may cause behavior problems at school. Having alternative seating really decreases all of these disruptions and misbehaving that could arise. We are classified a Title l school and some of our students do not come from great homes. I want to be able to provide all of my students with the passion and motivation to stay in school. By donating to our project, you are helping our future succeed by staying focused and aware of every learning possibility. The yoga balls and wobble chairs will help my students stay focused by managing their body and keep their mind awake. The foam mats let my students sit on the floor which changes their whole body posture. Wobble cushions and foot fidgets are add-ons for our regular chairs, and this will make our students more aware by awaking their kinesthetic sense. These changes will enhance my 37 students' academic environment.
