Providing organizational spaces for students helps them be prepared for each lesson and ready to learn. When students have materials close at hand, there is more time for learning activities and less time needed for passing out materials, getting ready for the lesson. We use tables for seating in the classroom, so alternatives to desk storage are a MUST! Students will store their read-to-self books in the seat sack. That way, reading material is right there, ready to go--no time needed rummaging in desks or running to another classroom location to get the books they have chosen. Ready, set, read!
