Anchor charts are instructional tools displayed in the classroom for students to reference. They keep the classroom walls interactive and useful. I create an anchor chart with my students whenever I am introducing a new topic. The students are an active part of creating the anchor chart which allows them to take ownership in their learning. The anchor charts are displayed all year which allows the students to refer back to them when needed. They know exactly where to look if they need a reminder or reassurance that their thinking is on the right track. Anchor charts are an integral part of my classroom and learning.
