The materials and supplies I am asking for is to help my students focus and continue to learn, and not have to worry about getting hungry. The snacks help re-energize and keep their minds ready to learn new concepts throughout the day. A focus in 5th grade is on health and we will be learning about the importance of healthy, nutrient dense food. We will research, discuss, and write about the effect of food and nutrients on our bodies. In addition, the mailbox compartment will encourage my students to learn organizational skills. Students will be responsible for managing their classwork, and forms.
