Giving students ownership by choice of flexible seating options in the classroom, has proven to enhance learning. Students feel more comfortable when they are able to make choices about where they are seated. I aim to create a more collaborative student centered environment in my classroom by providing them with more seating options to help stimulate their creative juices. Having options like soft seats, wobble stools, standing desks and a balance ball chair will assist students with being less fidgety, and enhance their desires to be creative and maintain their little bodies posture. It will induce positive energy and give my students more options to learn comfortably. Students will become responsible for the seating arrangement. They must choose a seat that is conducive to learning and comfort while engaging in a positive learning environment that leads to building relationships and self-learning. By providing my students with options, they are given the responsibility to choose what is best for their learning! We all know that not all students learn the same, and I strive to provide a conducive environment for each of these unique learners. Your contribution will provide seating options that will increase their attention, focus and stamina in the classroom!
