Each day my students go to the listening station in our classroom. This gives them the opportunity to be successful at reading even when they can't read the words independently. The listening station helps the students with fluency. Students that can read independently can read along with the audio. Through the listening station, students are able to go on adventures around the world, explore different time periods, and delve into mysteries. In our classroom we especially love reading mystery books. We have read several A-Z Mysteries and the students always have reactions of delight, surprise and laughter. Unfortunately, the cords on traditional headsets become easily tangled and the students spend time untangling them rather than getting to listen to books. The wireless headphones will really cut down on time spent trying to untangle headphones each days.
