We are a large, diverse, urban, preK-5 elementary school in Brooklyn, NY. Our school is committed to arts education for every student, and students receive direct instruction in art, music and dance every week. We also work with a large number of outside arts partners. Our band program is thriving! We have two bands - beginning and advanced - as well as a chorus and recorder ensemble. There are about 50 fourth and fifth grade children who currently play in the band, and a waiting list of another 30 students! We do not charge any fees for students to participate in the band. I try to accommodate as many children as possible, so every working instrument means another student in the band. Please help us protect and maintain our instruments!
