Physical activity is vital for a child’s development. By encouraging children to use physical materials at school, we will provide them the basic tools to help them learn that physical activity can be fun and help with teaching the children to use language, cognitive, social skills, large and fine motor skills. Some benefits of being active for young children include improving balance, coordination and strength; maintaining and developing flexibility; assisting with the development of gross motor and fine motor skills; providing the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills; improving confidence and self-esteem; and providing opportunities to develop social skills and make friends.
