In my first grade class, I have 24 students, ages 6 and 7. I teach at an inner-city school where my students and their families are of lower socio-economic status and speak Non-standard English or Spanish as a first language. One of my main areas of focus has been obtaining resources that will assist my students in meeting the new and rigorous Common Core Standards, as well as developing their 21st Century Skills. Part of my plan includes increasing technology usage in the classroom. With limited funding and only 2 computers in my classroom, my school is unable to provide technology resources for every student, in every classroom, everyday. I have been able to provide tablets for my students to use, but we do not have enough headphones to accommodate the entire class. Your help with this project would aide in my ability to fully integrate technology in the classroom everyday.
