The wood shop/bench will give children an introduction as to where wood comes from and the many ways it can be used. The wood shop/bench is a gender friendly activity that would include safety rules, safety equipment and safety wear. The wood shop/bench would also include but not limited to books, blue prints, real tools like sandpaper, wood screws, glue and paint. All material for the wood shop/bench will help to build on children's hand eye coordination, problem solving skills, independence/self-esteem, matching and classification skill and use of imagination. Lastly, the work bench can also serve as a stress reliever.
