Our school is a Title I school with predominately low-income immigrant children. We are a pre-K through 5th grade school of 460 students where everyone receives a free lunch. Spanish is the home language of most students here. We have many community activities available for our students and their families, and we receive very good evaluations for the work we do to involve parents in their child's education. Students score very low on standardized assessments, and in particular in mathematics. We are currently using "My Math" as our primary math resource, but are not seeing much improvement in student proficiencies.
