Third and Fourth graders are social creatures! What better way to learn and expand ideas than to create an area in the classroom where students can meet and collaborate! Students learn best through discussion and careful teacher guidance in small groups. A kidney table is the perfect meeting place for students and the teacher to come together to discuss ideas we are studying. This resource would make a world of difference in creating an environment that encourages working together and sharing our personal knowledge and ideas. Reading and math groups come alive in these areas because students and the teacher can discuss their ideas about new concepts in a comfortable setting.
