My campus is extremely old and my classroom still has a big green chalkboard taking up most of our wall space! I am trying to raise funds so that my students can have at least one dry erase board in our classroom. It has been difficult to work out math problems during whole group and complete reading summaries without this item. We have butcher paper and small white boards but the students easily lose focus when we use these. My students will be taking the STARR test in my classroom and I do not have anything to write the lunch times or the hour interval times on. Having a white board will increase student engagement during whole group instruction, and give them an opportunity to solve math problems alongside each other.
