These collections of books are purposely picked at a variety of reading levels for a variety of interests for first grade readers. It is difficult to get students excited about reading if they don't have books they are interested in. I chose a variety of box sets so when students become excited about a particular type of book, they have several more like it to continue reading and enhance their engagement. My goal is to get ALL my students, no matter what their reading level is, to love reading. These books will be used for independent and partner reading time.
