For the past 15 years my co-teacher and I have ran a successful Basketball Program for the students at P.S. 269, now P.S 361. We have always had either enough money in the budget, raised money, and or spent our own money to purchase items for the team members. Now that we have merged with another school, we no longer have the money in the budget to provide uniforms for them to wear this year. The Basketball program at our school is a legacy as we have had siblings play in different years, and even dad's and son's have been part of our program. We travel all over Brooklyn to play different schools, while instilling confidence and good sportsmanship in all the team members. We have a wall dedicated to all the teams that have played here, and always have students who played for us in the past come back to visit.
