Children learn through imaginative play. The materials I requested will encourage learning and growth. I want more then anything to provide my kindergarten students with the best start possible by giving them the materials necessary to play and explore. The puppet theater and Fairy Tales Stem kit will provide the students with opportunity to retell familiar stories in a fun playful way. It will also encourage the children to express themselves in creative ways. The Straw Structures, Magnetic Blocks, EMIDO Building Blocks, Pop Snap Beads and Domino set will encourage my students to use their imagination through play. These materials will also help build up their language, self-esteem and develop problem solving skills. All those skills provide an important foundation for academic learning. “Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” – Mr. Rogers
