This project will promote language, cognitive, problem-solving, social interactions, fine and gross motor skills. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific process while they play, create, investigate and explore. They will also learn sensory attributes (hot, cold, sticky, dry, etc). Sensory play enhances learning through hands on activities that stimulate the child's senses. Sensory play is great for calming a frustrated or anxious child. The sand and accessories encourage children to explore the world they live in. The tactile turn-n-match, peekaboo soundboxes and sound and sort stackers will support problem-solving and reasoning skills. The children will love using the new materials to explore and expand their everyday knowledge.
