As I complete my home visits for my students many of them do not have furniture. I would love my students to have the experience to sit on a real couch to enjoy the book area. I would love to have the rhyming buckets to expose my students to the language and hands-on learning with objects that rhyme. Rhyming is a big part of phonemic awareness which is a pre reading skill for Kindergarten. We read lots of books on rhyming but to have the materials to manipulate for young learners would really help. My students love science! If we had a butterfly habitat we could see and learn about the life cycle of something living. It would help teach empathy, responsibility, change, and understanding for creatures big and small in our environment.
