Currently, our school library is not functional and inviting. The library has those old-school, uncomfortable, wooden chairs. My students deserve a comfortable space to pull a book off of the library shelf or use their device to read a great book. However, the library space is not only used for reading, but collaborating, exploring, and creating. After all, the library is the epicenter of the school! Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The items I am requesting will allow students to work collaboratively with their peers to create, share, and explore. The flexible seating options will give my students additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. I have requested multiple sizes as my students range from Preschool to fifth grade. I love working with these age groups and want them to be excited about coming into their library space!
