I want all of my students to have a space that is theirs where they can feel comfortable. A rug is a great tool for us to use at our morning meetings and our whole group setting. This is the area where we come together as a group and learn how to communicate with other people. My students will learn how to turn and talk to each other and have meaningful conversations. This will help develop their oral language and build listening skills. Our rug will be a safe place for my students to share their ideas and maintain student engagement.
