I teach 3rd grade in the city of Oak Park. Many of my students are considered at risk. Due to their economic and academic disadvantages, I try to afford them experiences that were circumvented by the pandemic closures. The projects that I will create for my students are intended to increase their reading comprehension and math skills needed to be successful learners. My students have a natural curiosity to learn about the world around them through exploration, manipulation and technology. As their teacher, I want to provide a learning environment that encourages those strategies.
