The students in my classes are a very diverse population ranging from socioeconomically disadvantaged and homeless to very wealthy and privileged. They are divided into classes by academic ability from slow learners and students with various disabilities to those who are proficient and can be challenged with enrichment activities in addition to the required curricula. It is my endeavor to reach and motivate all students to fulfill their potential in math and as a young person in society. By using a variety of activities, games, tasks and projects, all learning styles are addressed, giving all students the opportunity to use their strengths. Feeling confident and successful academically, as well as working cooperatively and learning to celebrate each other's strengths and successes, the children are learning and becoming productive members of our community.
