My classroom is a place of excitement and inquiry. Our classroom is an arts integrated classroom. Students have been immersed in several projects where the arts and theater have been brought to life in our classroom. My students are eager learners who strive for excellence and flourish with new learning and ideas. Students are encouraged to be inquisitive, challenge ideas, and practice empathy towards other students. My students are passionate about books and have had a year of exploring the concepts of diversity, empathy, and acceptance. My students have explored these different themes in some of the stories we have ready. The students are 4th graders in an urban Rochester, New York elementary school. My students are inspiring and motivated to learn new things and explore different stories. Their love for reading in contagious and they enjoy experiencing new stories.
