The Multiple Disabilities classroom at JFK Elementary school has students from kindergarten to 3rd grade with a wide range of needs. The population in our classroom includes Autism, Down Syndrome, Microcephaly, and Communication Impaired. These students have many sensory needs that could be better addressed if our school had a sensory room where the students could go to relax, focus, socialize, play, and stim. A room with covered lights, a carpeted floor, gym mats, a swing, and relaxing music would be very beneficial for these students. If you would like to help make our sensory room possible please feel free to donate! Thank you in advance for helping make our sensory room a reality!
