My Pre-K students require materials that will help develop their fine motor skills. Most inner city students lack this skill entering into preschool due to the lack of exposure to such materials in their home environment. Students will be able to exercise their small muscles by creating their own works of art using various materials such as: sand, glue, beads, paint, chalk, dry erase markers, pom pom balls, craft sticks, bubbles, balloons, geoboards and rubber bands. I also requested four Amazon Fire tablets to aid in students accessibility to art project ideas and as another tool to improve their fine motor skills. These materials will help improve my students' writing, drawing, building, counting, and hand-eye coordination skills. They will be used during small group times and also made available during individual work times. Items were selected in hopes of fostering creativity and love for technology in my students. Your generous donation will provide opportunities for my students to build life-long skills. With the mastery of these skills, the students in my class will feel successful in school at a young age.
