My students have previously learned the laws of motion and kinematics, but have not applied them to real world examples. In order to do this students will use these materials to create their own RC ( remote controlled ) cars. Students will attach these RC components to frames or chassis they design. Once students have built their own RC car they will apply / calculate the speed, acceleration, Kinetic Energy, Potential Energy for their cars in testing, racing, and track situations. This allows students to participate in a unique learning application situation sure to stick with much longer than any worksheet.
