My kindergarten students come to school with a wide range of literacy skills. Some students are beginning to learn letters and sounds, some know all letters and sounds and are ready to begin reading, and some students can already read. Having leveled readers will allow my students to learn at their individual pace. The leveled reading model removes the"one size fits all" approah to reading. The most rewarding part of my day is seeing the face light up of one of my students when they are able to read a new book on their own. All students want to be successful in school and deserve to have access to books that will help create a life long love for reading!
