With little technology at our school, my students are not technology/computer savvy. With added chromebooks to my classroom this will give my students the ability to learn to research for their Biographies when I teach Renaissance. They will have the opportunity to learn basic typing skills. They will also have the opportunity to listen to books and read along with it. This has been shown to help struggling readers gain confidence they need to grow as a reader. These would stay in the classroom at all times and be locked up in order to keep safe.
