Students will use these chair sacks everyday in class to hold books, folders, notebooks, as well as pencils, crayons, and erasers. Students will learn how to keep their materials organized by being responsible for their individual chair sacks. Each day in our classroom we transition between multiple different subjects including phonics, reading, writing and math. Students will be able to make this transition much more smoothly with all of their materials conveniently located on the back of their chair in one of these chair sacks. Transitions take up a lot of time in any elementary classroom. I am hoping to minimize transition time in my classroom with these chair sacks. Shorter transitions means more time actually spent learning. Every minute for my students is precious and the more minutes we can spend learning rather than transitioning will greatly increase their achievement.
Donating to this project will make a huge difference in my classroom by saving transition time and helping my students become more organized and self sufficient.
With these chair sacks we will be able to focus more time on learning rather than organization and transitions because these chair sacks will make organization easier for my students. My students will be able to organize their own supplies which is a skill they will use throughout their lives.
