My school currently implemented a printing limit for all teachers on a monthly basis. Once you reach your max you are not allowed to make any more copies. Unfortunately last week I was a victim to the printer police, when I forgot to log out and someone else had access to my account. In the middle of printing my weekly math packet our school printer broke down and I was unable to complete the packets, which meant that I didn't have enough packets for all my students. I was forced to beg other staff members for a few of their copies just to complete my students packet. Seeing that I was out of copies in the middle of the month I've been forced to use my small home printer for all my students worksheet needs. I am requesting a printer/copier for my classroom so that my students have access to printed material at their instructional level. Feeling a little distraught that I now have to spend so much more time making copies for my students, I decided to join the bandwagon and ask for assistance in providing my classroom with a small office printer to provide students with access to the necessary printed materials that will allow them to practice much needed skills.
