Current research is positive for bringing play back into primary classrooms! As I head into my 12th year in the classroom, I could not agree more! Due to the demands placed on our kindergarten curriculum, our school has not replaced essential dramatic play items that have been discarded with use over the 35 years our school has been open. We are in need of a play kitchen to aid our students in social and academic learning. Living in a rural community where over half of our students are on free and reduced lunch, our school and class families do not have the funds to put towards this essential item for our classroom. Thank you for your help in bringing joy and learning back into the classroom as we start these students in their journey of education.
