I currently have a bunch of books that I inheirited as a new teacher with no organization system. The library pockets will allow me to go through and catalog the books so I know what we have (and what we need) and create a working checkout system. The cushions will allow my students to find a comfy spot around the classroom. Currently students either sit at their desk or on the cold tile floor. Think of your self immersed into a great book, are you sitting on a hard chair or cold floor, or are you in a comfy spot? I want my students to lose all track of time in a good book, when you are not able to get comfortable that cannot happen.
