A couple of years ago, our TIME For Kids subscriptions were eliminated from our classrooms, which was a great loss. When we used them, our students were eager to get them in their hands and read about what was happening around the world and in their own "backyards". Being able to take them home was even better. Knowing the power of TIME For Kids, I would love to be able to offer this engaging magazine to my students. While reading this fun, nonfiction text, they are practicing their comprehension skills while making connections to the world around them. Reluctant readers are no longer reluctant. The magazine offers something for everybody, covering a variety of subject areas of interest. Using TIME For Kids is beneficial to the teacher, but more importantly, to the student.
