I am requesting materials that will encourage students to learn away from their desks. I want to give my students the option to sit on a rug in a whole group or small group setting, or even independently away from their table groups. I believe having this flexibility will promote independence. At the moment students sit on bare tile when they join me during read alouds or during small groups instruction. Please help me create an environment that is comfortable and conducive to various modes of learning in the classroom.
