My classroom is in need of updated technology that works. My students are unable to use programs designed to support their learning in math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies due to out of date technology that no longer works. Having working technology will give my students another resource that will be beneficial to their learning. Having this support in the classroom and time for them to become familiar with these programs will also help with their learning at home for the times where they need to be on distance learning. Using technology in my the classroom will allow me to reach different types of learners, creating a more unique and beneficial learning environment. They will use these iPads to practice their reading skills, phonics, comprehension, and math at their individual levels. The iPads will help students meet Nevada Academic Standards primarily in ELA and Math by allowing them to practice standards they have been introduced to and need additional support in as well as introduce new standards to students who are ready to meet new or more advanced standards.
