I always want the best for my students and by providing them with choice in their learning, I am enhancing their ability to learn as well as increasing their ownership in their learning. I want the classroom environment to fit all of my learners and providing different seating options is doing just that! The two wobble chairs will be provided for students to use if they need to "wobble" and move while they work/ learn. The plastic stack stools will be placed around my two group tables. These stools are easy to store, move, and sit on comfortably wherever they are needed around the room. The four balance balls will be placed in the room to increase student engagement. When students sit on stability balls, studies show that both sides of their brain are engaged! Not only will the balance balls help engagement, but posture as well! Lastly, the wobble cushions will be used similarly to the balance ball, but these can be placed on the ground around a low table or workspace. With these flexible seating options, my students will be more engaged in learning that fits their style!
