The supplies requested are common supplies that assist in the smooth functioning of a student centered classroom. Since the focus is on the students their basic needs must be supplied i order to ensure their full participation and engagement. The chart paper provides a huge visual display for students observe their peers' strategy, assess peers, and allows a show of best practices. Pencils and pens make the start of class easy as these common supplies are not afforded by every student. Students are provided with as much practice and strategies that can be provided as a result we copy and supply lots of handouts. We need a pencil sharpener to go with our new pencils and some hand sanitizer to help control the germs.
